Toque + Bottle Advisory creates the Bistro Tickets hospitality concept

Bistro Tickets Creates a lunchtime meeting destination near exhibits
Improve opportunity for face-to-face interaction with attendees

In March 2008, Toque + Bottle Advisory created bistro RSNA, a luncheon meeting destination. The concept was developed to increase the meaningful interaction between exhibitors and attendees in the exhibit halls during the RSNA annual meetings.

In June 2008 (five months before the convention), we launched an online marketing campaign to promote Bistro RSNA, including a web site that allows exhibitors and attendees to reserve tables and pre-purchase lunch tickets online. The web site experienced 4,426 unique visitors, 15,156 page views and facilitated the purchase of 4,056 reservations prior to the convention.

As a result of the online and on site promotion, Bistro RSNA increased the number of lunches served in the exhibit halls by 18.8% and reduced exit rates during lunch by 30%. Survey results indicate that 96% of the guests were seated in five minutes or less, 88% said that lunch "met or exceeded expectations" for quality and 80% said that lunch "met or exceeded expectations" for value, and 86% indicated that they would book again.

Now branded as Bistro Tickets, this concept has proven to increase traction in the exhibit halls and improve the meaningful interaction during a convention.

"Ben Smock’s Bistro concept of a reasonably priced, restaurant quality lunch in the exhibit hall is an absolute winner. Offered for the first time at our 2009 annual meeting , over 650 lunches were served to our professional attendees and exhibitors.

Bistro AUA ordered our attendees and our exhibitors a convenient way to enjoy a pleasurable, healthy exhibit hall dining experience, as well as a place for exhibitors and customers to discuss business in a relaxed environment.

Bistro staff supplied our organization excellent advance planning assistance and professional on site management services. The process couldn’t have been easier for us. I highly recommend the bistro dining concept to future shows scheduled in Chicago."
